Tour description: This unforgettable journey passes through the world-famous cities on the Great Silk Road with its historical monuments which are will fascinate you with its gorgeous colors. Uzbekistan – this is the crossroads of the Silk Road, which has many well-known treasures, so beautiful literary imagination revives dreams and reveries of days gone by Khiva, Bukhara, Samarkand, and Tashkent. Central Asian countries which are from ancient times represented a connecting link between the countries of the East and the West and located at the crossroads of Silk Roads between the Near and Middle East and Europe, migration waves, armies of conquerors, aspiring to seize the ancient and medieval states of these countries. Trade and cultural ties between these countries were widely spread among themselves and with the neighboring countries of Europe and the East - Iran, India, China and etc. Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, Tamerlane left their footprints here, the scene saw the birth of the greatest scholars. And cities which flourished madrasas, mosques, minarets, castles and fabulous domes always attract the visitor. Making this trip you can discover the wonders of the cities of the Silk Road with the culture of Central Asian people. You will meet the lifestyles of people living in different regions of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and who keep their traditions for centuries.

SAMARKAND

Collect on the Pendjikent and Samarkand border checkpoint “Djartepo” at 9am. Transfer to Samarkand.

Upon your arrival, you will have a sightseeing program.  

Ø  Visit to Shakhi – Zinda necropolis. This necropolis consists of more than 14 mausoleums, dressed in blue glazed ceramics, built next to each other like a necklace of Pearls, as amazing jeweler work.

Ø  Bibi Khanum mosque, which was once one of the bigger in Central Asia with its beautiful blue domes,

Ø  « Siyab » Bazaar – traditional market of Samarkand.

Time to have lunch and hotel accommodation. Continue the discovery:

 

Ø  The famous place of Registan – the heard of ancient Samarkand. This consists of 3 monumental madrasas, it is an example of the Urbanism Art; Madrasa Ulughbek (1417-1420), madrasa Saher Dor (1619-1636 and madrasa Tilla Kori (1646 – 1660).

Ø  Gur Emir Mausoleum– Architectural chef-d’oeuvre of Central Asia.

After the excursion, you will have free time. Overnight in Samarkand.

SAMARKAND – BUKHARA

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to the railway station. Train to Bukhara. Arrival and sightseeing program in the city. The rich trading city reached its height in the X the century when, as the capital of the first independent Muslim state in Central Asia, its population was larger than its today and its power extended as far afield as Iran and Afghanistan. Relatively little is known about the ruling Samanid dynasty. However, their exquisite mausoleum survives from that era, buried in the desert sand and it was saved from the wholesale destruction wreaked by Genghis Khan.

During your exploration of the city you can also visit:

Ø  the Ark Fortress, an entire town containing the residences of the Emir.

Ø  The decoratively banded Kalyan tower – in its time the tallest minaret, maybe even the tallest building in the world – dominates the city skyline.

Ø  The Kalyan Mosque,

Ø  Miri Arab Madrasa,

 

Time to have lunch and accommodation. Continue to explore Bukhara.

Ø  Trade domes; Toki Zargaron, Toki Telpakfrushon, and Toki Sarrafon,

Ø  Ulughbek Madrasa and Abdulazizkhan Madrasa,

Ø  Magoki Attori Mosque,

Ø  Lyab-i-Khauz complex with a perfect peaceful pool flanked with lovely buildings.

After the sightseeing program, you will have also free time to walk in the old city.

BUKHARA

 

Breakfast at the hotel. 

Explore the monuments in the surrounding in Bukhara. 

- Visit to the necropolis of Ismail Samani (IX-X c)

- Chashma Ayub complex (XIV – XVII cc)

-Bolo House mosque (XVIII c)

 After sightseeing free time to explore Bukhara by your own rhyrhm

BUKHARA – KHIVA

Breakfast at the hotel.

Drive to Khiva via Kyzyl Kum desert (475 km, 7 hr of drive).

 

On the way some stops to take beautiful pictures and to have lunch at one of the oasis road cafes.

Arrival at the end of the afternoon. Hotel accommodation.

 

There will be a large time to enter to the authentic atmosphere of the ancient Khiva on walking through torturous streets of the old city.

 

 

Overnight in Khiva.

KHIVA – TASHKENT

Breakfast at the hotel.

 

Khiva – city museum on the open air.

The visit of Ichan-Kala begins with the discovery of the ramparts and the main portal of the inner city "Ota Darwaza" and by order towards the right direction and the light:

Ø  The madrasah of Mohammed-Amin Khan and his minaret "Kalta Minor" (XIX the century),

Ø  The central square of the ancient city - Kunya Ark (VII-XVIII the century),

Ø  The madrasa of Mohammed-Rakhim Khan,

Ø  The Djuma mosque (X- XVIII the century),

Ø  Allakulikhan madrasa, the Harem - Tash Havli (XVIII-XIX the century).

Ø  The Madrasah of Islam Khodja and its minaret (1908),

Ø  Pakhlavan Mahmud complex (XIV-XIX century) - a place of worship for the people of the region.

 

Transfer to Urgench airport. Flight to Tashkent. Arrival and hotel accommodation. Overnight in Tashkent.

TASHKENT

Breakfast at the Hotel.

Start to the discovery of Tashkent – the capital of Uzbekistan.:

 

Ø  Visit to the Khasti Imam Square: where you will visit to Djuma Mosque, Barak Khan Madrasa dating of XVI c, Imam Abu Bakr Mukhammad Kaffal Shoshiy Mausoleum (XVI c),

Ø  Chorsu bazaar,

Ø  Metro of Tashkent,

Ø  Panoramic tour through the Modern part of the city.

Ø  Museum of Applied Art,

Ø  Amir Temur square.

 

Overnight in Tashkent.

Transfer to the International airport. 

End the tour in Uzbekistan.
